Donna Klein

–

Pana, Illinois

Donna L. Klein, 91, went to the angels on November 27, 2025 in Pana, IL. She was born to the late Ralph B. and Herta S. (Stock) Goatley in Taylorville, IL on February 3, 1934. Donna married Kenneth E. Klein on November 20, 1954, who also preceded her in death.

Donna graduated Pana High School class of 1950 and received her nursing degree from Washington University in St. Louis in June 1954. Although she served as Director of Nurses at Pana Hospital, her true love was delivering babies, and she could remember most children and families she served.

Donna was fun, smart and intuitive. She loved to dance with Kenny, especially to the band “Wild Country”, and enjoyed Cardinal baseball, Illini basketball, and quilting. However, her greatest joy was her family, especially her grand-, great- and great-great-grandchildren. Donna is survived by her children Jacqueline S. Anderson; James K. (Stacey) Klein; Geri L. (Tom) Kirkbride; Jeffry R. Klein; Jill M. (Dan) Alde & Jodi A. (Dave) Miller, 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, son-in-law Dr. Mitch Rotman and daughter-in-law Emma Boehm, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Donna was preceded in death by her children, Gina L. Rotman and Kenneth L. Klein, grandson TK Kirkbride, brother Wilbur Goatley and wife Peg, and son-in-law Gary Anderson. Donna was the last of her family generation that also included her husband’s family: sisters Irene Wolf (Harold), Virginia Kuhn (Bob); Dorothy Mickey (Joseph), LaVeta Becker (Jim), and brother, John B. Klein (Lorraine).
