Donald John Fox

Donald John Fox age 92 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 9:15 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Martin Health Center, Bloomington IL. His funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday Dec. 11, 2023 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bloomington, IL. Pastor Lyn Ahearn will be officiating. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington IL. Visitation will be 10:00 AM-11:00 Monday Dec. 11, 2023 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bloomington, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Alzheimer's Research. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL.

Don was born November 4, 1931 in Palatine, IL the son of Fred and Ernestine Gadow Fox.
He married Carol Jawort on Dec. 27, 1958 in Wisconsin. She survives.

Also surviving are his 3 sons, twins Mark (Kari) Fox Webster, Wisconsin & John (Kris) Fox, Ada, Michigan, Paul (Becky) Fox , Elgin, IL, 7 grandchildren, Ben, Linnea, Nicole, Steven, Jacob, Andrew and Michelle Fox, 2 great-grandchildren, Jax and Eli Bihlmaier and 1 brother, Fred (Audrey) Fox, Minneapolis, MN.

Don is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ruth Gollnick.

Don worked at State Farm Insurance Company, Bloomington, IL for over 40 years. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Don was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bloomington, IL. Don was a Master Gardner and a volunteer fireman. He enjoyed family fishing vacations in Canada and was an avid golfer. Don was an avid dog lover. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him.
