Donald Beyers

Donald Eugene Beyers, 96, of Pana passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in Hickory Estates Memory Care, Pana. He was born October 16, 1929 in Pana, IL to the late Wilfred Cyril & Marguerite (Adams) Beyers. Don married Patricia Myers on June 14, 1950 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oconee. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2024.
Don was a graduate of Pana High School and then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Pana. Don loved working as a contractor and developer and passed his work ethic down to his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his children: Mike (Linda) Beyers, Pana, IL; Kathy (Myron) Kircher, Oconee, IL; Jane (Terry) McMillen, Pana, IL; 29 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Bill (Kathi) Beyers, Pana, IL; Mike (Bev) Beyers, Pana, IL; Pat Holthaus, Pana, IL; Bette Funneman, Pana, IL and sister-in-law, Gertie Beyers, Oconee, IL. He was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and siblings: Cyril Beyers, Mary Margaret Holthaus, Lyle Beyers, Robert Dale “Brownie” Beyers, Harley Beyers, Irene Beyers & Joe Beyers.
Funeral mass for Don will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Pana at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joseph Havrilka officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pana with military rites by Pana Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
Memorials in Don’s honor may be made to Sacred Heart School, Pana and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
