Donald Michael Barrish II

Donald Michael Barrish II, 52, of Taylorville passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026 in Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born February 1, 1974 in Decatur, IL, son of Donald Michael & Rita Jean (Banfield) Barrish.
Donald was a graduate of Olney High School. He enjoyed cooking, especially grilling and doing firework shows.
Donald married April Curtis. They had two daughters and later divorced. He then married Marcia Pryor on June 13, 2004 in Pana. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2009.
Donald is survived by his children: Destiny (Kyle) Poland, Olney, IL; Rachel (Joe) Burge, Sumner, IL; Briana Barrish & Alexis Barrish, Springfield, IL; Keegan Michael; father & stepmother, Donald Michael & Debra Barrish; grandchildren: Jasper & Xiomara and siblings: Laura Barrish, Park Forrest, IL; Stephanie (Jason) Hahn, Olney, IL; Amber (Aaron) Prosser, Somerset, KY and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Barrish on July 23, 2011.
Funeral services for Donald will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Twin Pines Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Memorials in Donald’s honor may be made to the family and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
