Donald A. Schlosser Obituary (1935

Henry: Donald A. Schlosser, 89, of Henry, passed away Sunday June 2, 2024, at Henry Rehab & Nursing Center. Donald was born January 26, 1935, to Lloyd O. and Dorothy M. (Arnold) Schlosser. Donald was a graduate of Henry-Senachwine High School and a graduate of a four-year apprenticeship program at caterpillar Tractor Co. of Peoria, Il receiving a degree in machinist trade. He was employed at Caterpillar from 1953 to 1993. Donald is survived by his son, Darrell (Gina) Schlosser, of Henry; son-in-law, Jr. Mekley, of Granville; and daughter, Janice (Rick) Hastings, of Henry. Also surviving by four granddaughters; Nicole (Thane) Hunt, of Farmington; Alexa (Chad) Tancil, of Oswego; Sherri (Brad) Szweda, of Lisle and Leia Hastings, of Peoria, seven great-grandchildren; Emy and Layna Tancil; Selena, Dylan, Vivienne, Sylvia, and Zaide Hunt. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol O. Schlosser in 2021 and daughter, Donna S. (Jr) Mekley in 2021. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Henry Nutrition Center or the Henry Community Ambulance Service.
