Delores Spitznagel

Delores M. Spitznagel, 93, of Auburn, passed away Friday, October 23, 2026 at her residence surrounded by family. Delores was born May 13, 1933, in Morgan County, the daughter of Elmer and Frances Watkins. She married Joseph Spitznagel on May 21, 1949 in Jacksonville. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1933.

Surviving are her two sons, Bob Spitznagel of Taylor Springs and Donald (Evon) Spitznagel of Springfield; her grandchildren: Jennifer Spitznagel of Litchfield, Bruce (Barbi) Spitznagel of Auburn, Tom Spitznagel of Auburn, Robbie (Jennifer) Shores, Danny, Shores, Michael (April) Wilder, Angie Wilder, and Tammy Spitznagel; several great-grandchildren; and her brother, Eugene "Boone" (Bonnie) Watkins of Waverly. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her children, Brenda Wylder and Edward Spitznagel.
