Delmar Ray Nance Obituary (1928

Delmar Ray Nance, 75, of Taylorville, IL died at 5:15 pm Saturday, January 10, 2004 at his residence. He was born March 5, 1928 in Holiday, IL (Fayette Co.) the son of John Walter and Dorothy Mae Taylor Nance. On June 14, 1949 he married Mary P. Wright in Pekin, IL. Mr. Nance had been affiliated with Palmer Advent Christian Church and retired from Commonwealth Edison Power Plant in Pawnee in 1986. Surviving are his wife Mary of Taylorville, IL; 4 daughters, Sally Elizabeth Taylor and husband Robert of Morrisonville, IL, Edna Mae Reed and husband Richard of Springfield, IL, Kathy Ray Sylvester and husband Anthony of Stonington, IL and Mary Teresa Reincke and husband Kenneth of Taylorville, IL. 14 Grandchildren: Stephanie Reed of Springfield, Aspen Evrley of Taylorville, Beth Poani of Springfield, Joseph Reed of Springfield, Christopher Reincke of Taylorville, Timothy Sylvester of Stonington, Brittany Reincke of Taylorville, Jackie Reed of Springfield, Bobbie Jo Taylor of Morrisonville, Cory Reincke of Taylorville, John Taylor and Holly Taylor both of Morrisonville, Pamela Reincke and Noah Reincke both of Taylorville. Two Great Grandchildren: Alex and Lexy Evrley both of Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marvin Nance and a grandson, Matthew Reincke. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 14, 2004 in McClure Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Buster and Kenneth Wright officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden, IL. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 13, 2004 in McClure Funeral Home Taylorville, IL. Memorials may be made to Palmer Advent Christian Church or Memorial Medical Center Hospice Program.
