Delena Huber

PONTIAC -- Delena "Dee" Huber, 104, of Pontiac died at 5:15 a.m., Friday (Oct. 24, 2008) at ASTA Care Center, Pontiac.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial may be made to Kathy Finkenbinder for the activities department or to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac.

Mrs. Huber was born April 17, 1904 in Cardiff, a daughter of Joseph and Minnie Pomato Beltram. She married Harry P. Huber on April 12, 1927 in Joliet. He passed away on Feb. 15, 1994.

She is survived by two daughters, Gerianne E. Pulliam, Bloomington, and Donna Blaski Folsom, California; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, and had been involved in the St. Mary's Food Pantry and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a graduate of Saunemin High School and had been a school teacher and a homemaker.

Dee loved to crochet and enjoyed working in her flower garden during the summer.
