Deborah L. Forbes Obituary (1946

Deborah L. Forbes, 77, of Henry, passed away peacefully Thursday September 19, 2024 5:44 am at St. Clare Medical Center, Princeton IL in the arms of her husband and son. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held Saturday September 28, 2024 at St. John XXIII Church (formerly St, Mary’s) in Henry IL from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. Mass of Christian Burial will follow officiated by Fr. Michael Pica. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Bede Academy, Peru IL or St. John XXIII Parish. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements. Deborah was born September 25, 1946, in Chicago, IL to Edward and Hilda (Huska) Loesch. She married Dr. David A. Forbes on December 29, 1973, in Barrington IL. He survives in Henry IL. Also surviving are her two sons, Michael (Diana) Forbes of Clermont FL, her grandson Oliver Forbes, Peter (Jessica Stuart) Forbes of Deer Park IL, her brother Gregory (Roseann) Loesch of Barrington IL, and many nieces & nephews. Her parents preceded her in death. Deborah was a professional equestrian, riding hunter & jumper horses for Tri Color Farms. She also enjoyed flying and had her solo pilot certificate. Deborah met her husband David through the band Nightwatch, which her brother Gregg was a part of. After their marriage and David’s graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. and Mrs. Forbes moved to Henry, IL in 1977 to start the Forbes Chiropractic Office. Deborah was the office manager for 35 years where she provided exceptional service to all their valued patients. After her retirement from the Forbes Chiropractic Office, Deborah continued assisting in office management, part time for Dr. Richard June D.D.S. Deborah also had much enjoyment traveling, spending winters in Florida with David, supporting Michael and Peter during their years playing football for St. Bede Academy and their career endeavors. In addition, Deborah enjoyed following the NFL and the Chicago Bears, playing cards and bingo with her friends. She had previously served as a board member of the Henry Early Learning center. Deborah also enjoyed playing tennis, where she founded the Peoria Margarita Tennis League. Deborah was devoted to her husband and two boys.
