David R. Stover Obituary (1958 - 2024)

David (Dave) Roger Stover age 66 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 1:55 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Carle Medical Center, Normal, IL. Dave was born March 4, 1958 in Springfield, IL, the son of Merle and Barbara Robson Stover. He married Carolyn Beth Edwards on May 6, 1978, in Waukegan, IL. She survives. Also surviving, one daughter, Melisa Stover, Springfield, IL, two sisters, Beth (Mike) Brown, Peoria, IL and Robin (Brad) Rushing, Dawson, IL. Dave is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gregg Stover. Dave had a career in banking in Bloomington and Normal IL. He held many positions throughout his career. Outside of work he loved bicycling and gardening. Dave was very passionate about animals, especially his own. Above everything else he loved his family and friends. While Dave left us too soon, the impact he had on the lives he touched will be felt for years to come. Many would describe him as having a great sense of humor and a kind, caring heart. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials be made to Reading is Fundamental.
