David Fullerton

David A. Fullerton, 73, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at his home.

His funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at St. Patrick Church of Merna, Bloomington with Rev. Dustin Schultz officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2024, at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sound of Illinois Chorus.

David was born on June 7, 1951, in Fairbury, the son of Albert and Rose Rodrick Fullerton. He married Diane Brady on May 27, 1978, in Normal. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Stacey Fullerton-McGraw, Bloomington, Ryan (Megan) Fullerton, Mahomet, and Erin (Michael) Gallagher, Pittsburgh, PA; two siblings, Debra (Bob) Decker, Peoria, AZ and Mark Fullerton, West Jordan, UT; five grandchildren, Lily McGraw, Luke, Paige and Nate Fullerton and Virginia Gallagher.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

David graduated from the Institute of Aviation in 1971 and from the University of Illinois in 1974. He was a Life and Health Analyst for State Farm Insurance, retiring in 2012. David sang bass in the Sound of Illinois Chorus for 41 years. He was an avid golfer and a proud Papa.
