Darrell "Red" Woosley Obituary (1944

Carlock- Darrell “Red” F. Woosley Sr. ,81, passed away on December 4, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Red was born on July 13, 1944 in Bloomington, IL; son of Herbert L. and Bernice (Farrell) Woosley. He married Lucy J/ Hardin on December 3, 1966 in Bloomington, IL. She preceded him in death. Surviving Red are his two sons: Darrell “Spud” (Janelle) Woosley Jr. and Herbert W. Woosley; four granddaughters: Hannah, Erin, Isabelle, and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Loran Woosley, and sister: Beverly (Lowell) Ewins. Red was a truck driver and farmer. He proudly served in the United Sates Navy from 1962-1965. He was a very active member of Carlock Christian Church and loved to spend time with his loving family every chance he could. Services for Red will be 1:00pm Friday, December 12, 2025 at Carlock Christian Church with Rev. Dr. James Warren officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am- 1:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial at Denman Cemetery will follow the services. Memorials may be made in Red’s name to the Carlock Christian Church.
