Darrell "Lee" Benner Jr. Obituary (1945

BROADWELL - Darrell "Lee" Benner Jr, 75, passed away at 10:50 p.m. on August 13, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Lee was born on November 6, 1945 in Lincoln, IL; son of Darrell and Ruth "Finny" (Awe) Benner Sr. He married Sarah Brucker on October 2, 1993 in Lincoln, IL. She survives him. Also surviving Lee are his two daughters: Allison (Austin) Brummett of Lincoln, IL and Kathryn Benner of Broadwell, IL; one sister: Audrey Roman of Springfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Cheryl. Lee worked for IDOT as a Highway Maintainer. He Proudly Served his country in the United States Army from 1968-1970. A private family graveside will be held. Memorials may be made in Lee's name to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight. Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
