Dann Richard Degenhart Obituary (1963

Dann Richard Degenhart, 58, of Pontiac, died on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Good Samaritan Home, Pontiac, IL, with his parents at his side. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac with Pastor JD Buchenau. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. An inurnment will be at Camp Esmen Cemetery, rural Odell, IL. Calvert and Martin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dann was born on April 28, 1963, at St. James Hospital, Pontiac, to Dick and Sandra (Collins) Degenhart. They survive in Pontiac. Also surviving are his brothers, Roger Degenhart of Grand Junction, CO, and Kevin (Karen Paoli) Degenhart of Monument, CO. Three nephews, Justin (Sara) Degenhart of Peoria, IL, Josh Degenhart of Grand Junction, CO, and Ian Degenhart of Grand Junction, CO. One niece, Kristin (Derek) Yelinek of Missouri City, TX. Two great-nephews, Lucas Yelinek and Carson Degenhart. Two great-nieces, Emmelynn Degenhart and Berkley Yelinek. Dann attended special ed classes in the "Gray House" at Central School and graduated from PTHS. He worked at Futures Unlimited and was the first to move into the Integrated Living Arrangements Housing. Dann loved people. He liked all kinds of music, dancing, Special Olympics, and bowling. He was also a member of the Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to Futures Unlimited in his memory. The family would like to thank everyone at Good Samaritan who provided such wonderful and loving care. Dann will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
