Dan "Doc" Neff

Daniel L. “Doc” Neff, 76, of Henry, passed away Wednesday September 23, 2026, 11:00 am at his home in Henry.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to The ARK, Lacon, IL. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry is in charge of arrangements.

Dan was born February 28, 1950, in Peoria, IL to Neil and Doris (Williams) Neff- Hobbs.
Surviving is his partner in life, Karen Arians, his sister, J. Laurie Hobbs-Flesburg, and his loving niece, Kiersten Danielle Flesburg, all of Henry and two dear friends, Jim Selquist and Al Shupp, longtime musical and family friends.

His parents preceded him in death.

Dan was a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. He went on to retired from Marshall County Sheriff’s Office as 911 dispatcher, after 27 years.
The most important thing in Dan’s life was music. He played music over a vast part of the country. He will be remembered for playing and singing at many local weddings and funerals. Dan also enjoyed reading, smoking cigars, and his cats.
Dan will be missed by all who knew him.
