Damon G. Zeke Bell

Damon G. "Zeke" Bell, 72, of Stonington passed away at 2:52 AM Sunday May 2, 2010 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield. He was born December 13, 1937 in Taylorville, the son of Claude and Julia Eson Bell. He married Janet Watson on May 6, 1972 in the Stonington First Baptist Church. Mr. Bell retired from Georgia Pacific after 34 years. He was an Army Veteran. He was a member of Joy Assembly church in Stonington. Zeke was an avid Cardinals and Illini Fan and enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his wife: Janet Bell of Stonington; Sons: Claude Bell of Taylorville and Ryan Bell, wife Candace, of Moweaqua; Daughter Susan Good, husband Jeff, of Stonington; Grandchildren: Christopher Bell, Brooke Bell, Brandon Bell, Madison Good, Preston Good, Brenton Good, and Grayson Good; Step-Grandchildren: Renee Schinzler and Ally Schinzler; Great Grandchildren: Sierra Bell, Chelsea Hamonds, and Andrianna Hamonds; Step-Great Grandchildren: Tybee Ingles and Teague Kaiser; Brother: Robert Bell, wife Mary, of Taylorville; Sister: Donna Anselm, husband George, of Taylorville, Uncle Laverne Eson, wife Madeline, of Taylorville; Mother-in-Law Beatrice Watson of Taylorville; and Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew Jeff Bell.

Funeral Services will be held at 10am Wednesday May 5, 2010 at the Joy Assembly church in Stonington with Pastor Tim Moats officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7pm Tuesday at McClure Funeral Home and from 9 until 10am Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in the Old Stonington Cemetery.
