Cynthia R. "Cissy" Jonen

Cynthia R. “Cissy” Jonen, 63, of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Clearwater, Florida.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 101 W. Center St., LeRoy, Illinois. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Allen Miller officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Hopewell Cemetery, Downs, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Cindy was born on February 21, 1961, in Stanford, Kentucky, a daughter of Margaret (Hayes) Smith.

She is survived by her companion, Ed Hauptman of Bloomington, Illinois; brother, Chip (Deana) Smith of Lynchburg, Missouri; two nephews, Caleb Smith of Downs, Illinois, and Christopher Forrest of Sevierville, Tennessee; and Aunt Judy Hayes of Downs, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her mother; son, Austin Jonen; daughter, Jackie Jonen; sister, Alita Smith; and Uncle Ron Hayes.

She was proud of working at C.I.S.A.R.

Cindy never knew a stranger and will be missed by all. She is finally reunited with her children.
