Constance R. Phelan

Constance R. Phelan, 67, of Bloomington, passed away at 6:02 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her home.

Her funeral will be at noon Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington. Private family burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, May 25, 2018 at the church. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois or to the American Heart Association.

She was born April 19, 1951 in Bloomington, a daughter of Patrick and Rosalie Kleemann Phelan.

Surviving are her parents of Bloomington; five sisters, Betty Connour of Heyworth, Ann (John) Benjamin of Cleveland, TN, Linda Spurgin of Bloomington, Marcia (Bob) Long of Hoffman Estates and Joan (Kendall) Eyre of Bloomington; numerous nieces and nephews, including Scott and Jessica Connour, who treasured all of the time they spent helping Connie; and several great-nephews and a great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Phelan.

Connie retired from Country Financial in 2013 after more than twenty years of employment. She had a huge heart for her family and a love for animals, especially cats.
