Constance Kennedy

Constance Kay “Connie” Kennedy, 78, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at OSF on May 1st, 2025.
A private graveside service will be held at Funks Grove Cemetery in McLean. The officiant will be Pastor Mark Dossett of Eastview Christian Church where Connie was a member.
A celebration of life will be held from 1pm to 4pm, May 14th, 2025 at Eastland Suites following the private service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Illinois State University Athletics Softball Program or Eastview Christian Church.
Connie was born July 21, 1946 on the Illinois side of the quad cities. The daughter of Merle and Jean (Koenig) Schave.
She graduated from ISU with a degree in elementary education in 1968, and began her teaching career at Heyworth Grade School in 1969.
She married Bill Kennedy on October 22, 1988. Together they have one daughter, Megan Giroux. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jenna Crossley and Gavin Giroux.
During her retirement, Connie was always on the go! She had deep faith and was involved in Bible Study and Small Group at Eastview Church.
She was also in several card clubs and a book club. She enjoyed golfing at Crestwicke where she was a member. She loved to cook and spent hours outside in her yard or on her patio. She loved to vacation, especially in Cabo with her friends and family.
She will be missed by so many.
