Cody Stephen Miller

In loving memory of Cody Miller, 22, of Mt. Zion, IL, born on September 29, 2001 and departed on February 5, 2024.
A service to honor Cody’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Friday. Casual attire is requested by the family. Cody will be laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Critical Incident Stress Management, Decatur Area Team, 707 W. Southside Dr., Decatur, Illinois 62521.
Cody was a 2020 Mt. Zion High School graduate and attended Richland Community College, receiving his welding certification. For over a year Cody has worked as a welder for Caterpillar.
Cody’s life was a tapestry of joy and amazement. A talented and hardworking individual, he was a dependable friend with a great sense of humor, always ready to share a smile. Cody’s reliability and wonderful spirit made him a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and fiancé. His legacy will endure through the countless lives he touched as a beloved friend and family member. May he rest in peace.
Cody is survived by his parents: Chad and Molly Miller of Mt. Zion, IL; brother: Caleb Miller of Mt. Zion, IL; paternal grandparents: Steve and Judy Miller of Mt. Zion, IL; maternal grandparents: Gene and Beth Coit of Decatur, IL; fiancé: Natalie Claypool of Mt. Zion, IL; special friends: Chris Segundo and Christian Perkins; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
