Cody Michael Caraker

Cody Michael Caraker, 26, of Nokomis passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He was born September 15, 1995 in Effingham, IL, son of Jeff Caraker & Sara (Vickers) Cunningham. Cody married Amber Simmons on May 19, 2018 in an intimate family ceremony in Taylorville at Manners Park. Cody & Amber welcomed a beautiful baby girl on August 24, 2016, Isabelle Faith.
Cody worked at All Precision Manufacturing in Nokomis as a machine operator. He was family oriented and loved spending time with his wife & daughter, who were his whole world. He loved life and he never met a stranger.
Cody is survived by his wife, Amber Caraker, Nokomis, IL; daughter, Izzy ; father, Jeff (Jessicah) Caraker; mother, Sara (Damien) Cunningham; siblings: Kayla (Justin) Caraker, Careyana Cunningham, Raina Cunningham & Damien Cunningham; grandparents, Danny & Denise Vickers; great grandmother, Betty Prater and several nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie & Wanda Caraker & uncle, Danny Vickers.
Funeral service for Cody will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Myron Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Memorials in Cody's honor may be made to the family and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
