Clover E. Shumway Obituary (1914 - 2002)

Clover Essie Shumway, 87, of Nags Head, NC, died at 9:35 pm Monday, May 20, 2002 at the Outer Banks Hospital, Nags Head, NC. She was born June 9, 1914 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Lucius Clark and Essie B. Hollister. On June 5, 1943 she married D.Dwight Shumway and he preceded in death on July 9, 1974. She is survived by two sons: Dr. David Shumway of Noxville, TN and Dr. Dwight Shumway of Nags Head, NC. There are 7 Granchildren:Kara Brandt, Marcy Simpson, Dwight Shumway, Adrienne deGuevara, Adam Shumway, Vanessa Harris and Arial Shumway.Also surving are 9 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 11, 2002 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL with Rev. Alan Newhall and Rev. Richard Ingmire officiating. There will be no visitation.
