Chiquinquira "Chiqui" Benitez, 10, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. Her funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington with Rev. Gregory Nelson officiating. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Mausoleum. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family. Chiqui was born on November 18, 2012, in Memphis, TN, the youngest daughter of Sergio and Gabelinda (De Paz) Benitez. She is survived by her parents and her sister, Leslie De Paz, all of Bloomington. Chiqui attended Cedar Ridge Elementary School and was in the 5th grade.
