Charlotte (Dubson) Parker Wheeler Obituary (1949

Charlotte (Dubson) Parker Wheeler, age 75, most recently of Heyworth, IL and longtime resident of Clinton and Bloomington, IL, passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, on March 11, 2025. Born to Sim “Odie” and Josephine Dubson on April 12, 1949. She was married to George Parker on June 13, 1975, and later to Ron Wheeler on February 6, 1998, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Catrina (Mike) Eimer Sr., Cateeja Parker, and Anthony (Dawn) Parker, grandchildren Nakeeta (Rich Smith) Parker, Tara Aldrich, Mike (Becky) Eimer Jr., Christina (Greg) Koch, and Taylor (Chris) Jones, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great- great grandchildren. Honorary sons, Brad (Audra) Hayden and Mathew Bristow. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Carter, brother, Gary Dubson, numerous honorary grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and best friends Joan Freed and Louise Hayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Dustin Parker, great-granddaughter Page Olick, sister Penny Dubson, and brother Randy Dubson. For years, Charlotte worked as a caregiver to many elderly and disabled clients whom she loved dearly. She knew and felt the impact they had on her but truly knew and felt the impact of caregivers as she grew to depend on them. Therefore, a special thanks to Olivia Ratts, Master Doage, and Susie Cramer for assisting the family with Charlotte’s care over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Christian Academy. There will be a Celebration of Life on April 12, 2025, at the Wapella Community Center.
