Charlotte E. Arbogast Obituary (1943

GRIDLEY- Charlotte E. Arbogast, 81, of Gridley, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Carle Bromenn Medical Center in Normal. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in El Paso with Tim Cavallo officiating. Visitation will be the same day from 9:30 A.M until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery, Gridley. Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023, or to Fresenius Kidney Care, East Peoria, 3300 Main St., East Peoria, IL 61611. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in El Paso is in charge of arrangements. Charlotte was born in LeRoy, IL on October 6, 1943, a daughter to Ben H. and Geneva (Wynn) Watkins. She married Bernard “Bernie” Arbogast in Bloomington on May 24, 1965. He preceded her in death in 2005. Surviving are her children; Greg (Sheila) Watkins, Gridley, Penny (Ken) Koester, Bloomington, Tracy Arbogast, Minonk; 12 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Schaff, Sharon (Tim) Lampe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Mickey and Ray Arbogast, 5 brothers, and 1 sister. Charlotte worked for Hart Carter for 25 years. In the past she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and especially attending family reunions.
