Charles J. Inman Obituary (1935

Charles J. Inman, 81, of Decatur passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. A service to celebrate and honor Charles life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2016 at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2016 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Salem Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Summit Avenue Baptist Church. Charles was born on March 29, 1935 in Munfordville, KY the son of William J. and Violet G. (Johnson) Inman. He married M. Earline Dinger on October 2, 1960 in Decatur, IL. Charles served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Charles worked and retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad as an electrician. Charles was a member of Summit Avenue Baptist Church, I.B.E.W. #513, Monticello Railroad Museum and the Land of Lincoln Antique Tractor and Engine Club. Surviving is his wife, Earline; son: William (Sara) Inman of Decatur, IL; grandson: Jacob Inman; cousin: Betty Carter of Westchester, OH; special friend: Brenda Sitron of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughters, and two half-brothers: G. Orville and Roy Tennison.
