Carin Udell, Jr Obituary (1936

Carin D. Udell, Jr., 88, formerly of Bloomington, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Hudson, IL. Services in Carin’s memory will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal, IL. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, IL, is assisting the family with arrangements. Carin was born January 1, 1936, in Chicago, the son of Carin D. and Drucilla (Ingledew) Udell, Sr. He married Mary Jo Morton on September 7, 1957, in Chicago. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2020. Survivors include six children, Kenneth Udell, Glen Ellyn, IL, Bill Udell, Mesa, AZ, Donna Breedlove, Canton, IL, Mary Beth (Danny) LaRocco, Quincy, IL, Walter (Regina) Udell, Hudson, IL and Joan Benitez-Martinez, Wahiawa, HI; nine grandchildren, Daniel, Adam, Cameron, Lynn, Stephen, Kenny, Brandon, Gabriel and Cory; a sister, Elizabeth (Stan) Mocek, Markham, IL; a brother, Charles (Judy) Udell, Alameda, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Charlene Udell; a grandson, Joel Udell; and two daughters-in-law, Kathy Udell and Carolyn Udell. Carin worked for Linde Corp. for many years. After retirement he drove a school bus for Unit 5/First Student. He and his wife were avid square dancers and helped form the Twin City Twirlers.
