Caprice D. Prochnow, 61, of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bloomington Public Library. To express condolences online, please visit www.carmodyflynn.com. She was born December 21, 1961 in Waterford, MI, daughter of William and Sue Hoon Garner. She married Stephen E. Prochnow on November 23, 1990 in Bloomington. Surviving are her husband, Stephen, Bloomington; two daughters, Tiffany Nichols, Toddville, IA and Barbra (Doug) DeVore, Opp, AL. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kayle & Trent Lafrance, Nathen, Miley & Macinzie Leathers and Justin DeVore. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Patrick Garner. Caprice had a very good business sense working at and managing Illini Swallow Bus Line, Burlington, IA, Grey Hound Bus, Craig Construction Company, Emmett Scharf Electric, S & C Heating and A/C and currently at the Bloomington Public Library for over 21 years. She loved going hiking with her fur baby, "Minion Sue," kayaking and binge watching old movies. She very passionate about books and she loved reading. Caprice will be fondly remembered by those that loved her for her very contagious laugh.
