Burl L. Felty Obituary (1929

Burl L. Felty, 93 of Taylorville passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 9:40 a.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL. He was born on February 22, 1929 in Luka, IL the son of Lawrence Otto and Pearl (Cook) Felty. He married June O’Brien and she preceded him in death. He then married Ruth Durbin Rever on December 2, 1983 in Taylorville, IL. Burl worked as a self employed over the road truck driver and was a veteran of the United States Air Force During the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Taylorville Eagles Club and the Raymond, IL American Legion #299. He is survived by his Wife: Ruth Felty, Children: Wesley (Kim) Felty, Janet Anderson and Joy Felty; Step-Children: John (Jodi) Rever, Rob (Mary) Rever and Rhonda Beck and Numerous Grandchildren, Great- Grand Children, Great- Great- Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first Wife: June Felty, Granddaughter Juneanne Marie Leetham, Brother: Burnice Felty and Sister: Wanda Ross. Upon Burl’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
