Toluca: Brooklynn Rene Silver, 20, of Toluca, passed away Friday October 12, 2018, 9:57 pm at her home in Toluca. As requested, private family services will be held Wednesday October 17, 2018, at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Toluca. The Rev. Robert Idell will officiate. Burial will follow at Antioch Christian Cemetery, Toluca. Memorials may be made to the family. Brooklynn was born July 10, 1998 in Streator, IL to Michael and Yvonne (Buchanan) Silver. Surviving are her parents, Michael Silver, of Peoria and Yvonne Silver, of Toluca, his step Mother, Julie Kupferschmid, of Peoria, her grandparents, Geri Buchanan, of Toluca, Michael and Linda Silver, Sr., of Washburn, her sister, Chelsie Spencer, of Toluca, step brothers, Brendan and Dillion Kupferschmid, of Peoria, her aunts, Shelia (Mike) Gerdes, of Minonk, Paula (Dennis) Judd, of Toluca, Sonja (Scott) Ruestman, of Minonk, Elisha (Silver) (Darryl) Bachman, of Metamora, and Janele (Silver) Langewich, of Washburn, fourteen cousins and seven second-cousins. Her grandfather, Everett Buchanan and her great-grandparents preceded her in death. Brooklyn was a member of the Antioch Christian Church, Toluca. She was presently attending Mid-West Technical Institute, East Peoria, enrolled in the Medical Assisting program, which she dearly loved. Brooklyn will be remembered for her love of school and her make-up. Her caring, loving, generous and outgoing personality will always be remembered, along with her beautiful smile. She called her grandma, Geri, her best friend.
