Braden J. Martin Obituary (1999

Braden Joseph Martin, age 25, of Pontiac, passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at his residence. Cremation rites have been accorded. A candlelight vigil was held in his memory so there will be no additional services held. Memorials in Braden’s memory may be made to the Livingston County Humane Society. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements. Braden was born on November 17, 1999, in Pontiac, IL, to Joseph Martin and Jacque Bailey. Survivors include his mom: Jacque (Dale Carter) Bailey of Pontiac, IL; stepmom: Sheri Martin of Pontiac, IL; and his siblings: Kati (Eric) Knowlton, Michael Bammann, Karli Bammann, Alyssa (Johnny) Gonzalez, Jennifer Poindexter, and Maranda (Keenen) Beck. He is preceded in death by his dad: Joseph J. Martin; and his grandparents: Lois Cochran, Charles Cochran, and Harriet Cochran. Braden was educated in Pontiac and was homeschooled by his Mom. He worked for Caterpillar through Manpower in Pontiac, IL, from 2017 to 2023. As a young boy, Braden took a special interest in sports. He was very athletic and excelled in basketball and football. He could dribble a basketball and make endless baskets shortly after learning how to walk. Braden also had a special place in his heart for animals. He was a huge animal lover that had a special connection with every animal he met. He especially loved his furry sidekick, Remi. Braden was such a bright light in so many lives. He had a huge and compassionate heart that was filled with so much love for his family, friends, and pets. He truly was the best son, brother, and friend. He made many precious memories with his family and friends. Those memories will forever be held close to his loved ones. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
