Bob C. Schultz

Bob C. Schultz 95, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away at 1:42 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2017, in Heritage Health Nursing Home.

A service to celebrate Bobs life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Burial will be in the Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Life Builders Church. Bob was born July 12, 1922, in Decatur, IL the son of Charles and Esther (Gilmore) Schultz. He served in the US Navy and was a W.W. II veteran. He married Mary Garner on February 14, 1942. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2015. Bob retired from Borg Warner Company after thirty years of service to the company. He was a member of Life Builders Church, an avid fisherman, hunter, and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan.

Surviving are his children: Bob Schultz and his wife Pat of Seal Beach, CA and Cheryl Owens and her husband Rodger of Mt. Zion; six grandchildren: Jill Ball and her husband Bruce, Brett Schultz and his wife Shah, Bryon Schultz and his wife Christina, Steve Owens, Ryan Owens and his wife Keely, and Brad Owens; fifteen great-grandchildren also survive.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and infant granddaughter: Malissa.
