Beverly Jean Jones

Beverly Jean Jones, 85 of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Heritage Manor, Bloomington.

Beverly's graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11am at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials may be made to the Heyworth American Legion to support the Silver Foxes or other events at the Legion.

Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

Beverly was born on February 19, 1934 in Bloomington, IL. She was the daughter of William and Sadie Skaggs Peifer. She married R. Merle Jones on January 11, 1953 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2012.

Beverly is survived by her children, Bruce (Julia) Jones, Madison, WI; Steven (Julie) Jones, Bloomington, and Connie (Greg) Talley, Normal. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Andrew (Laura) Jones, Emily Jones, Eric (Abby) Jones, Erin (Fiance Roger Halverson) Jones, Lauren (Josh) Jones Wagner, Josh Lincoln, Chris Lincoln, and Hannah Talley; 2 great grandchildren, Henry Jones, and Hudson Jones.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother.

Beverly was a member of the Pythian Sisters of Bloomington and Women of the Moose, Bloomington.

Beverly never met a stranger. She made friends where ever she went. She enjoyed her weekly dances with the Silver Foxes held at the Heyworth American Legion, but most of all she enjoyed spending time and taking care of her family.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
