Beverly Jean Ernest, of Decatur, IL died at 8:02 pm Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, Murfreesboro, TN surrounded by her beloved family.\r\r\n\r\r\nShe was born in Joliet, IL, the daughter of John and Mary Westerveld Walsh and had been a resident of Decatur for the past 27 years.\r\r\n\r\r\nShe is survived by her loving husband Gerald Ernest of Decatur, 2 Sons: Timothy Dallavia and fiancee Charlene Pastore and James Dallavia of Joliet, IL. 3 daughters: Kimberly Dallavia, Jaime Johnson and husband Chad both of Murfreesboro, TN, and Lynette Dallavia of Joliet, IL. Grandchildren: Ashtin Dallavia, Taylor Bond, Kiersten, Johnson, Kyler Johnson, and Karter Johnson all of Murfreesboro, TN, Zachary Dallavia of Joliet, IL. 2 Brothers: Richard Walsh of Joliet, John Walsh and wife Elizabeth of Placentia, CA. 2 Sisters: Marilyn Walsh and Nancy Richie and husband Wayne both of Joliet, 1 Aunt, Shirley Hill of Joliet, 1 Uncle John Westerveld and wife Elaine of Edgar Springs, MO. Mother-in-law: Theresa Ernest of Joliet. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Also surviving are dear Friends, Linda Ogelsby, Judi Cowser, and Doris Gray. She was preceded in death by her parents, very special nephew Daniel Richie and Father-in-law, Gerald Ernest.\r\r\n\r\r\nGerald and Beverly were married August 21, 1976 in Joliet, IL. She was employed at Will County Clerk's Office, and in the trust department of Union National Bank and Trust Company and Financial Federal of Joliet. Moving to Decatur in 1983 and was employed at Magna Mortgage Company and the Decatur Chapter of the American Red Cross. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe was a 1961 graduate of Joliet Township Central High School, former member of Faith United Methodist Church in Joliet, member of South Shores United Methodist Church in Decatur where she faithfully prepared the Lord's Communion Table for the Congregation. She and Jerry were avid Cub Fans. They not only watched the Cub games together but were great fans \r\r\nof the University of Illinois Basketball team. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Susan Donghey and staff of N.H.C. Murfreesboro, TN, ICU staff and nurses of Middle TN Medical Center and especially Eric Hayes Respiratory Therapist.\r\r\n\r\r\nFuneral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 30 at Plainfield United Methodist Church with visitation from Noon until time of service with Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet, IL. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Sunday, November 28 at McClure Funeral Home, 302 W.
