Betty L. Toungett

Betty L. Toungett, 86 of Bloomington, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at home. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Betty was born on January 16, 1933 in Glen Morrison, West Virginia. She is the daughter of E.H. and Minnie Cook. She married Johnny Booker Toungett on November 3, 1951 in Murphsboro, TN. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2007.

Betty is survived by her children; Steve (Mattie) Toungett, Antioch, CA; Debra (Mickey) Meeker, Bloomington, and Kathy (Tom) Woolridge, Atlanta, IL. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and her sister Jackie of Ohio. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and 14 brothers and sisters.

Betty attended Four Seasons Church of Christ in Bloomington, and worked for GE for 26 years retiring in 1994.

Betty was independent and strong willed and always new what she wanted. Her grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed spoiling them when she could. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
