Betty J. Miles Obituary (1927

Henry: Betty J. Miles, 98, of Henry, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 12:25 a.m. at Lacon Rehab & Nursing. Private family graveside services will be held at Henry Cemetery. Rev. Canessa Legan will officiate. The family will receive visitors for a gathering and a meal on Saturday March 21, 2026 from 11:30 am to 1:00 p.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church Hall, 511 Wirt St., Henry. Betty was born on July 6, 1927, in Bell Plain Township, IL to Sulcer and Pearl (Hattan) DeBolt. She married Kenneth Miles on December 18, 1946, in Henry, IL. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2002. Surviving are her children, Richard (Connie) Miles of Lake Thunderbird, Donna Klein of Henry, David (Betty Ann) Miles of Hennepin, and daughter-in-law, Sandy Miles, of Henry; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; sister, Jo Anne Schlosser of Starke, FL; and sister-in-law, Peggy DeBolt of Morton. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Miles; brother, Orie DeBolt; sister, Rita Schlosser; and son-in-law, Larry Klein. Betty was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Henry, Henry American Legion Auxiliary, and a former member of the Red Hat Society.
