Betty Jean Cirks Tuchel Obituary (1946

On Monday, December 9, 2024 Betty Jean Cirks Tuchel, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 78. Betty was born on October 15, 1946 in Minonk, IL to Dick F. And Eva Cirks. She lived and died on her beloved family farm in Minonk. Betty was very proud to have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Counseling. Betty would say she was big and sassy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Betty made it a point to help anyone she could help. She was a personal therapist to many friends and family. Betty enjoyed playing Euchre with her Sunday group, dice games, reading, and spending time with people she loved. Betty was preceeded in death by her parents and sister, Ida Weichman. She is survived by her children Eric (Kirsten) Leman of Cave City, Arkansas, Terry Buckerfield of Cuba, Illinois, Mark (Tracy) Harlan of Minonk, Michelle (John) King, and Walter McKee of Bloomington. Her 14 grandchildren Melissa, Jessica, Kortney (Quintin), Allen, Grace, Levi, Morgan, Katelyn (Phil), Amy (Nick), Faith, Leigha, Kaylie, Brayden, Gabe, and 5 great-grandchildren and another on the way. Betty was loved by 2 nieces Beverly and Diane. She is also survived by 4 children of her heart Annie, Karla, Karen, and Gary. Her dog Precious will miss her. A celebration of life will happen in warmer weather at the family farm as she disliked the cold weather
