Bernadine A. Hilton Obituary (1922

Bernadine A. Hilton, 92, of Normal, passed away at 6:45 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Heritage Health in Normal.Following Bernadines wishes, a private family graveside service was held at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, Rev. Jeffery Windy officiated. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington assisted the family.Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington.Bernadine was born July 30, 1922 in Bloomington, the daughter of Thomas and Addie Langhoff Fitzgerald. She married Iverson Ivy Hilton on June 12, 1947 in Bloomington. He died on October 2, 1987.Survivors include a son, Tom (Sandie) Hilton of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Amanda (Bart) Bittner of Heyworth and Blaise Hilton of New York, NY; three great-grandchildren, Beau Michael, Benjamin William and Tessa Kay Bittner, as well as several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Kenneth Fitzgerald and an infant sister.Bernadine graduated from Bloomington High School and was a member of Holy Trinity Church. She worked 27 years at General Telephone Co., retiring in 1973.The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Health in Normal for their wonderful care and support of Bernadine and her family.
