Barbara Highland

Barbara C. Highland, 82, of Cornell, IL passed away at 1 :57 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Morris Hospital.
Visitation will be 11a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Flanagan, IL and funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Cornell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to AMVETS of Eastern Central Illinois.
Barbara was born November 21, 1943, in San Antonio, TX the daughter of James F. and Claire C. Craven Scott. She married Barry L. Highland on February 14, 1981, in Pontiac, IL. He died April 3, 2019.
Surviving are three children Matthew (Sam Bennett) Highland, Mark Highland, and Hope (Derek Egerstaffer) McKenna, all of Cornell; three grandchildren Kaydence McKenna, Marley and Makaya Highland; and one sister Sandra (Robert) Reilly of Pontiac.
Barb was Methodist and worked as an LPN at Hospitals and Nursing Homes until her retirement. She was active with AMVETS, and card clubs. She enjoyed reading, and word search books. Barb loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and friends.
