B. Darlene Kashefska, 93, of Decatur, IL passed away peacefully at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2024 in her son’s home with her family at her side. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel, 4020 N. Water Street Decatur, IL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to donor’s choice. Darlene married Butch Kashefska on June 4, 1949. He preceded her in death in 2007. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, leading many of the church activities. Darlene had an open heart for anyone she met and loved spending time with her family who will miss her the rest of their lives – til we meet again. Darlene is survived by her son: Jeff Kashefska (Harley Rhodes), two daughters: Debbie Rosser (Marvin) and Donna Rafferty (Michael), three grandsons, two great grandchildren and one brother: Mervel Lewis.
