Augusta M. "Tootie" Folkers Obituary (1923 - 2020)

Augusta M. "Tootie" Folkers, 96, of Dwight, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Heritage Health in Dwight, IL. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight with Pastor Chrissy Salser officiating. Burial will be in McDowell Cemetery in rural Dwight. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services also at the funeral home. Memorials in honor of Tootie may be made to the Hospice of Kankakee Valley and online condolences may be made at www.hagermemorial.com. Tootie was born on November 21, 1923 in Secor, IL to Max and Esther (Iggena) Reich. She married Ena Folkers in 1947 in Benson, IL. Sadly he passed away in 1999. Surviving is a daughter, Diana (Dale Galbreath) Tidball of Goose Lake, Morris, IL; two sons, Wayne (Nancy) Folkers of Dwight, Ronald E. (Brigette) Folkers of Odell, IL; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Oscar and Herman Reich and a brother and sister in infancy. Over the years Tootie raised her family and was a longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Dwight, IL. She will be greatly missed by all her loved ones.
