Art later drove school bus and was a rural route mail carrier until his retirement in 1989.

Art was a member of the Arrowsmith Town Board, the Masons and he bowled on a league for many years. He was a fan of western movies and western books and especially enjoyed John Wayne. Art was a Chicago White Sox fan and loved Boston Bulldogs and Dachshunds dogs. He loved to visit with friends, telling jokes and playing cards.

Art and Betty both dearly loved the members of their Senior Sunday School class at the Saybrook Christian Church. They also had wonderful neighbors who cared for and watched over them. We are eternally grateful for them.
