Arlie Anderson Bailey Obituary (1909 - 2005)

Arlie Anderson Bailey, 96, of Hillsboro, IL formerly of Mt. Auburn died at 2:30 pm Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL. He was born February 24, 1909 in Bloomfield, MO the son of Frank M. and Armenta Sullivan Bailey. On November 10, 1930 he married Margaret Leona Goodrich in Rockford, IL and she preceded in death on February 15, 1985. Mr. Bailey was a retired farmer, retiring in 1974 and had been a former member of the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ. Surviving are his sons: Wallace Bailey and wife Joyce of Hillsboro, IL and Gerald Bailey of Decatur, IL and a daughter Marilyn Beaty and husband Lawrence "Speed" of Morrisonville, IL. Sister: Helen Wilson of Decatur, IL and Brother, Junior Bailey of Elwin, IL. 6 Grandchildren: Randy Bailey of Largo, FL, Rick Bailey of Ballwin, MO, Todd Bailey of Oakley, IL, Dr. Tim Bailey of Decatur, IL, Kimberly Meyer of Springfield, IL and Kristina Ray of Taylorville. 14 Great Grandchildren: Katie Bailey, Grace Bailey, Lauren Bailey, Hunter Bailey, Jensen Bailey, Megan Bailey, Anna Bailey, Bridget Bailey, Jacob Bailey, Bailey Meyer, Bradley Meyer, Kyle Meyer, Tyler Ray and Kailynn Ray. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 15 brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, September 15, 2005 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 14 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hillsboro Area Health Foundation, 801 E.
