Antje C. Rhodes, 73 of Palmer passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born on October 29, 1943 in Wurzburg, Germany, the Daughter of Alois and Gertrude (Klemm) Duerr. She married Jerry Merle Rhodes on February 4, 1961 in Edmonton, Canada and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2014. She worked as a homemaker. Surviving are her Daughter: Deborah (Kenneth) Gatton of Taylorville, IL; Sons: Curt (Katrina) Rhodes of Taylorville, IL; Joe (Sherry) Rhodes of Delavan, WI; Emilio Rodreguez of Delevan, WI; Grandchildren: Kristy Miller of New Holland, IL; Brandon (Marie) Gatton of Taylorville, IL; Justin Gatton of Taylorville, IL; Ryan (Brooke) Gatton of California; Josh (Bree) Gatton of Texas; Zachary (Fiancé Megan) Rhodes of Taylorville, IL; Kassandra Rhodes of Taylorville, IL; Great-Granddaughter: Liyah Carter of New Holland, IL; Sister: Helga Schneider of California; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sister: Ruth Schneider, Brother Claus Duerr, Grandson: Kyle Gatton. Graveside inurnment will be held at a later date at Fraley Cemetery in Taylorville, IL. Memorials may be made to the Morrisonville Ambulance Service or to St. Johns Hospice Care 800 E.
