Annetta J. Shride Obituary (1940 - 2024)

Annetta J. Shride, 83, of Decatur, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. A graveside service to honor Ann’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Locust Grove Cemetery, near Moweaqua, IL. Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon is assisting the family with services. Ann was born on May 4, 1940 in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Bernard and Wilma Okuly. She married Ronald Richard “Dick” Shride on July 18, 1964. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2011. She was an avid Aunt Jemima collector and a bird lover. Ann loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann is survived by her children: Vicki (Brian) Shartzer of Macon, IL, John (Lisa) Shride of Troy, IL and George Shride of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Joshua (Rachel) Shride, Jessica (Greg) Osgood, Bryanna (Andy) Brownlee, Zachary Habermaas, Bucky Foster and Zoe Shride; great grandchildren: Jaci Jo Shride, Eli Brownlee, Lily Habermaas, Tripp Osgood and CJ Brownlee; two sisters and one brother.
