Anna M. Warnelis

Anna May Warnelis, 87, of Front Royal, Virginia, formerly of Taylorville, IL and Olney, IL died Tuesday September 3, 2002 in Front Royal, Virginia. She was born May 16, 1915 in Christopher, Illinois the daughter of Joe and Rosina Podeschi Fabbri. On December 25, 1932 she married Anthony G. Warnelis in Taylorville and he preceded in death on March 29, 1983. Mrs. Warnelis had a long career in many businesses during her lifetime, but her main interests were her children and grandchildren. Among Mrs. Warnelis's memberships was St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville.

She is survived by 2 sons, Joseph D. Warnelis and wife Betty of Aurora, Illinois and Michael A. Warnelis and wife Debbie of Winchester, Virginia. There are 6 Grandchildren, Anthony Steven Warnelis, Christopher Lee Warnelis, Brett Dominic Warnelis, Adam Michael Warnelis, Zachary A. Warnelis and Seth Anthony Warnelis. Two Great Grandchildren: Katryna Warnelis and Cody Erickson. Also surviving is a sister Corrine Jenkins of Dove Canyon, California and a daughter-in-law Sue A. Warnelis of Pflugerville, Texas. Her parents, husband and one son Anthony Delmar Warnelis preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, September 7, 2002 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville, IL with Fr. Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, September 6 in McClure Funeral Home Taylorville, Illinois. There will be a prayer service at 8:00 pm.
