Angela Y. Tower-Shepherd of Bloomington passed away Thursday February 11, 2021 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. There will be a private celebration of life held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington, IL at a later date. \r\n\r\nAngela was born November 16, 1973, daughter of the late Raymond J. Tower and Marsha Y. Tower. She is survived by her children: Nicholas J. Shepherd, Alyssa Y. Shepherd, Damien N. Reed, and Zaria L. Reed, and by her grandchildren: Devan A. Shepherd, Myanna L. Smith, Mia B. Smith, Gregory I. Burroughs. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth J. Vick. \r\n\r\nAngela was a wonderful Mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Loved by all who knew her, family, friends, and acquaintances alike. Angela enjoyed being nose deep in a Stephen King novel, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and pets. Angela was also a creative, sewing, quilting, and painting her way through various projects for her loved ones throughout her life. Angela had a profound love for music, on any given evening she could be found enjoying some of her favorite tracks, for which she had an eclectic taste, spanning every style and genre. A love that she would go on to instill in her children and grandchildren.\r\n\r\nAngela remains undefeated in the game of Scrabble. \r\n\r\nCremation rites will be accorded, Beck Memorial in charge of arrangements.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Angela was a member of the American Cancer Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary \r\nGroup, Trinity Lutheran Church, and supported the Humane Society of Central Illinois.
