Alice F. Shoop Obituary (1940 - 2024)

Alice F. Shoop 83 of Pontiac, IL died Friday March 22,2024 at 3:05pm at Accolade Healthcare in Pontiac, IL. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 11:00am at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac with Rev. Cheri Grizzard of the First Baptist Church officiating. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Pontiac, IL. Memorials in Alice’s name may be made to Livingston County Cancer Fund. Alice was born on April 12. 1940 in Blackwater, VA a daughter of Nathan and Rettie (Livesay) Collingsworth. She married Ronald E. Shoop on November 30, 1962 in Pontiac, Il. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2012. Survivors include one sister: Gladys Whittle of Ocala, FL.; several nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by three sisters and eight brothers. Alice was a seamstress at Pontiac Chair Factory for over 40 years. She and her husband enjoyed taking family trips.
