Alexis Dye

Alexis Nicole Dye, 31, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Virden, passed away on August 4th, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1995, in Jacksonville, Illinois, to Donald Dye, Jr. and Dawn (Gregory) Wormack.

Alexis was a 2013 graduate of North Mac High School, where she enjoyed playing softball. She later attended cosmetology school, pursuing her creativity and love for making others feel special.

Alexis had a kind and gentle soul. She loved deeply and had a way of bringing warmth to the lives of those around her. Like many people, Alexis faced struggles in her life, but those struggles never defined who she was. Those who knew her will remember her compassion, her heart, and the love she had for her family and friends.

Alexis was a devoted sports fan who loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the St. Louis Cardinals. She enjoyed the simple moments and the connections she made with the people she loved.

She is survived by her parents, Dawn Wormack (husband Max) and Don Dye Jr. (significant other Carla); her two children, Ace and Jalen; her sister, Karley Willett (husband Mark); her brothers, Cody Dye, Casey Hutchison, and Brody Wormack; two nieces, two nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Linda Gregory and Jo and Lee Sproule.

Though Alexis’s life was marked by challenges, it was also filled with love, laughter, and moments that will forever be cherished. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and friend who was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Alexis’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8th from 1-4 at Bramley Reception Center in Divernon.
