Wilma Austiff-Piechur Obituary (1940

Wilma Austiff-Piechur, 83 of Girard passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Hallmark Healthcare of Carlinville. She was born April 12, 1940 in Modesto the daughter of Jesse and Gladys (Richards) Baker. She married Richard "Arch" Austiff on August 29, 1959 and he preceded her in death on September 18, 2000. She then married Michael Piechur on April 14, 2004 and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2011. Wilma was a long-time member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church and a graduate of Waverly High School Class of 1959. Wilma is survived by her son Earl J. Austiff; brothers Paul Baker, George Baker, Charles Baker; sisters Lucy Ladd, Jean (Bill) Aguayo, Betty Bunch, Linda Sharp; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, Wilma was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Girard Cemetery with Reverend Gerald McElroy officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden.
